Shri Amarnath Yatra Registration Mode and Process
a) Online Registration
- Online registration process Available via Shri Amarnathji shrine board official SASB portal: https://jksasb.nic.in
- Select your preferred route: Pahalgam or Baltal and yatra dates (01Jul- 28 Aug 2026)
- Fill all the personal details properly (Name, Address, ID proof details etc.)
- Upload scanned documents (medical certificate-CHC and Photograph etc.)
- Pay registration fee online.
- Download your registration pass/yatra permit
b) Offline Registration
- Visit authorized bank branches (PNB, YES Bank, ICICI and J&K Bank)
- Fill all the details in the application form
- Submit the required documents (Medical certificate) and application form in person
- Pay the registration fees and get Registration pass/ Yatra permit
Documents Required for Shri Amarnath yatra Registration
You must be submit the following documents for Shri Amarnath Yatra registration 2026,:
- Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) from authorized doctor or hospital authorize by Shri Amarnathji shrine board official. Shrine board official will announce the medical dates, so you have to complete medical accordingly
- Government-issued ID proof (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.)
- Four recent passport-size photographs
Registration Form (available online and at bank counters)
Only CHCs issued by SASB-approved doctors/institutions will be accepted.
Important Guidelines for Pilgrims
- Medical fitness is mandatory. High altitudes can pose health risks.
- Pilgrims have problem of Sugar, Ashthama, High blood Pressure, Heart Attack / Bi-pass surgeryor any other type of patient should be avoiding to go Amarnath yatra.
- Each permit is valid only for the specific date and route chosen.
- Carry original documents during travel.
- Pilgrims Should carry Woolen cloth/ Leather Jacket/ Good quality trekking shoe/ Rain coat/ Umbrella/ torch etc.
- Every Registered Yatri must collect his/her Unique RFID Card from any of the centres established in Jammu/ Kashmir divisions after successful E-KYC based biometric authentication before embarking on the yatra.
- There is an age restriction for the pilgrimage.
- Those below 13 years or above 70 years are not permitted to undertake the Amarnath darshan.
- Pregnant lady more than 06 weeks not permitted to go for darshan.
Special Note for Ex-Indian/NRI and Foreign Nationals
Foreign nationals must:
- 1. To Register for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2026, an NRI / Ex-Indian / Foreign National
pilgrim shall be required to send scanned copies of the following documents to
Senior Manager, IT, Department, Punjab National Bank, Circle Office, Jammu, at
the email address: atmjk@pnb.co.in contact no. 0191-2470105.
a) Filled-in Application Forms.
b) Compulsory Health Certificate (formats of Application Formand Compulsory Health
Certificate are available at theBoard’s website: www.jksasb.nic.in).
c) Valid Passport from competent authority
d) Scanned photograph
e) Registration fee per Yatri of ₹1550/- (to be deposited in the Punjab National Bank:
Swift Code: PUNBINBBJTS / IFSC Code: PUNB0079400, Rehari Branch Jammu
Account Number 0794000101212056) - 2. Compulsory Health Certificate should have been issued by the National Health
Services of the country concerned on or after 8
th April, 2024.
3. The intending pilgrim can collect the Yatra permit from the designated branch of
Punjab National Bank located at Jammu or Srinagar as indicated in her/ his
forwarding e-mail. The Yatri permit can also be obtained on the Pilgrims email on
request.
4. Registration of NRI / Ex-India Pilgrims / Foreign National shall be subject to
availability of Registration slot for the preferred day and route.
5. No yatri shall be allowed to cross access control gate at Domail (Baltal route) or
Chandanwari (Pahalgam route) without a valid RFID card.
6. RFID card can be collected from any of the centers established at various locations
in Jammu & Kashmir divisions after successful biometric eKYC authentication /
Passport Verification (e-KYC).
7. Senior Manager, IT, Department, Punjab National Bank, Circle Office, Jammu shall
inform the intending pilgrim, through e-mail, whether she/ he has been registered
for undertaking Yatra 2024 and the mode for collection of her/his Yatra permit.
